How to install, questions, etc.
1) Run the Kontakt 8 8.11.0 Setup program on your computer.
2) Disable your antivirus and unzip KKontakt 8.11.0 Full Options Patcher. 7z , then run Kontakt 8.11.0 Full Options Patcher as administrator.
(If you unchecked the AAX or VST3 box during installation, the patcher will inform you that it cannot find the file, just click the NO button).
Click the Patch button and wait for the text to appear .DONE in the lower left corner.
How do I add a library?
After
successfully registering Kontakt, you can add the library with " Kontakt_Button " to the " C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\Kontakt 8 " folder
. If this utility is missing, it may have been blacklisted by your antivirus software or Kontakt did not register properly.
Can I install the latest version of Kontakt 8 over the previous version of Kontakt (bobdule) ?
YES! You can, just make sure you use the same location (default).
Can Kontakt 6/7 or Kontakt 8 run side by side ?
Yes! You can install both versions without any conflicts.
How can I make Kontakt 8 look like classic Kontakt 6 ?
In the VIEW menu , change the Single View/Rack View, and then click LIBRARY to select New/Old Library View.
To save your settings permanently, click " Set View Settings as Default " from the VIEW menu.

How to install Kontakt 8 PORTABLE.
1. Create an empty folder. The folder name and path MUST NOT CONTAIN CYRILLIC LETTERS. The folder MUST BE WRITTEN (it cannot be installed in the Program Files folder).
2. Run the installer (KontaktPortable_v8110.exe).
3. Click the Browse... button and select the created empty folder.
4. Click the Extract button.
5. The first time you launch the Library Manager, it will automatically scan the factory content, as well as any already installed libraries (registry scanning).
After the scan is complete, save the changes and (re)launch Kontakt.
If the changes were not saved the first time, you can launch the automatic scan at any time using the Alt + Insert key combination or from the Manager's context menu:
ADD > quick search
By default, libraries are added only to the desktop browser (except for default content, which is not added to the desktop browser). This behavior can be changed in the Library Manager settings:
Libraries > Manage Libraries in the NKS Browser
How to update from a previous version of Kontakt 8 PORTABLE.
1. Run the KontaktPortable_v8110.exe
installer. 2. Click the Browse... button and select the folder containing the files from the previous Kontakt 8 PORTABLE installation.
3. Click the Extract button. 4. When the Confirm file replace
window appears , confirm the file replacement (Click Yes to All ).
Note for version 8.7.0 : To automatically generate missing library images in the VKontakte browser (default view), launch the Library Manager, click the SAVE button, and restart VKontakte.
Notes for version 8.10.0 :
- To add new factory content (Aftertouch Tool), launch the Library Manager, click the SAVE button, and restart VKontakte.
- The VST2 format and the KTP jBridge add-on have been removed.
How to add Kontakt 8 PORTABLE VST3 to your DAW.
Method 1 (not suitable for all DAWs):
Add the Kontakt8Portable\Kontakt 8\x64\VST3\ folder as an additional plugin scan folder. For details, refer to your DAW's manual.
Method 2:
Run Kontakt8Portable\Install.exe.
On the component selection page, check "Add VST3 plugin to DAW."
